The Misfits (From Jem Cartoon in 80s) - It Takes A Lot To Survive
In the 80s, cartoons seemed more creative and innovative than those from nowadays. Even I'm not born in the 80s, I'm always a fan of everything from 80s and 90s. And especially for this cartoon made in America named ""JEM and The Holograms"" , the story , the style of drawings , the style of the characters and the music in it is very outstanding. For the story, I guess I don't have to talk about it as its really a well-known one. Regarding music-wise, I actually prefer the songs from the ""bad girls"" from the cartoon which is ""The Misfits"" (not the well known punk band you have all know). In every episode , both The Misfits and Jem And The Holograms performed their own songs. And ""It Takes A lot To Survive"" from The Misfits, I would say it's the best of all songs in the cartoon.
This song is a mixture of a lot of genre .. I guess it includes chillstep, trap , house.. But whatever it is for the genre because I think nowadays, music genres are blended. XXYYXX is amazing in doing this kind of music that makes people feel ""spacey"" , ""chill"" but so cool. They have their special sounds to compose. I would say if it's not the remix of XXYYXX in this song, I would not recommend. And pay attention to the part after the last chorus, it will surprise you.
Sevdaliza is an Iran musician but for me I think she is not just a musician , singer but also an artist. In "That Other Girl" video , she collaborated with a digital artist duo called "Pussykrew ". The digital art in this video is simply out of the world. They made use of futuristic elements and "mold" the real face of SEVDALIZA, basically they made everything you see out of very simple backgrounds and props. Maybe SEVDALIZA is not as well known nowadays compared to other musicians , but from her music and music videos, I truly believe that she created her own vision and world in particular.
